Welcome to Wardlaw School, a program of the Atlanta Speech School.
Wardlaw is dedicated to helping students with dyslexia develop the skills, confidence, and strategies needed for academic success. Our expert faculty hold advanced degrees in areas such as Learning Disabilities, Reading, and Speech-Language Pathology, and provide explicit, evidence-based instruction tailored to each student's learning needs. Who We Serve
Wardlaw serves students in grades K-6 with a primary diagnosis of dyslexia whose educational needs can be appropriately supported within the Wardlaw program.
Because dyslexia is the primary area of educational need supported in Wardlaw, we are not designed to serve students whose needs are characterized by autism spectrum disorder, social-pragmatic language differences, or significant attention or behavioral regulation challenges that may limit access to our program.
Admissions Process
Our admissions process is designed to help us thoughtfully consider each applicant to determine whether Wardlaw is the best educational placement for the student.
Once all application requirements have been received, our admissions team conducts a thorough review of the student's file. This review process may take up to three weeks. Following the review, the Admissions Office will contact your family with the next steps, which may include scheduling an admissions screening or discussing additional recommendations. Screenings for the upcoming school year can begin as early as October and will continue until all available spaces are filled.

Create a Blackbaud account using your email address.

After creating your account, you will receive a verification code by email. Enter the code to verify your email address and activate your account.

Once your account is set up, you will have access to your Blackbaud application portal.

In Blackbaud, you will be able to create a profile with your student’s (candidate) name and select the appropriate Atlanta Speech School program (Wardlaw School).
- Our application is intentionally divided into two parts, so you can begin the process quickly to complete Part 1 and return later to provide more detailed information about your child in Part 2. After completing Part 1, you will gain access to Part 2 and your application checklist within 24 business hours.
